Audio and Film

All formats of audio and film are barcoded and tracable. Securus Records Management store and manage all forms of Magnetic Media and Film in dedicated Vaults which provide high levels of security and fire protection, including: -

  • BS4783 compliant temperature and humidity controlled environment
  • FM200 Gas Fire Suppression
  • VESDA (very early smoke detection apparatus)
  • Digital colour CCTV
  • 24 hour central monitoring security
  • 4 hour fire rated Vaults
  • Audio security monitoring

Each tape, datacase or media item is individually barcoded, with RDT barcode scanning used extensively throughout the Data Centres; items are scanned at every point as they progress from their racking location, into the secure loading area, onto the delivery vehicle and ultimately at their destination.

This includes the scanning of all items delivered to and collected from our customers’ premises, at which GPRS technology confirms the transaction and sends the customer a confirmation email.

A full audit trail for the entire lifecycle of each individual item is maintained, available online and provides real-time tracking and visibility of the current location of all media.

Via our web-based ordering and inventory management software (see Internet Services - SAS web interface) our customers are able to view inventories and the status of all items in real-time and order online.
